This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share and protect the information you provide when you apply to the Pitch2Launch Regional Pitch Deck Competition and take part in related TechTrinity Africa programmes (the Dev-a-thon and the Innovation Showcase).
1. Information we collect

- Submitted links — your video pitch and pitch deck.
- Team information — team size and, where applicable, your preferred team lead’s name and email.
- How you heard about the programme.
2. How we use your information
- To review, score and shortlist your application.
- To contact you about your application and the programme.
- To invite selected applicants to the Live Pitch, and to match selected ideas with development teams.
- To administer the Dev-a-thon, the Innovation Showcase and related communications.
3. Legal basis
We process your data based on your consent — given when you submit this form — and our legitimate interest in operating the programme.
4. Sharing your information
Your application may be shared with our review panel, judges, mentors and programme partners strictly to evaluate and deliver the programme, under confidentiality. We use trusted service providers (for example, Google Workspace for forms and spreadsheets, and email delivery) to store and process submissions. We do not sell your personal data.
5. Media & Publicity Consent
By accepting this policy, you consent to being photographed, audio/video recorded and featured publicly at the Live Pitch, the 48-hour Dev-a-thon and the Innovation Showcase. You grant TechTrinity Africa the right to use such media — including your name, image, voice, likeness and idea name — across our websites, social media, publications and promotional materials, without further approval or compensation.
6. Your idea & intellectual property
You retain full ownership of your idea and any intellectual property in it. Submitting an application does not transfer ownership to TechTrinity Africa. We handle the confidential details of your idea with care and share them only as described above.
7. Data retention
We keep your application data for the duration of the programme and a reasonable period afterwards for records, reporting and future editions, after which it is securely deleted or anonymised.
8. Your rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, and you may withdraw your consent at any time by contacting us. Withdrawing consent may mean we can no longer consider your application.
9. Data security
We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information against unauthorised access, loss or misuse.
10. Contact us
For any privacy question or request, email reachout@techtrinity.africa.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time; the most current version will always apply to your application.
By ticking “I have read and accept the Privacy Policy”, you confirm you have read, understood and agree to this policy, including the Media & Publicity Consent in section 5.
